Lady Patriots Golf– Look out, UC on way to regionals
Richmond, Franklin County and Union County girls golf teams finished one, two, three at the IHSAA Girls Golf Tournament at the Richmond Elks Country Club last Friday.
Boys of Fall– Golden Falcons put damper on Homecoming
The Winchester Golden Falcons spoiled Union County’s homecoming with a 32-19 win over the Patriots last week.
Lady Patriots Volleyball– Take down the Knights 3-0
The Lady Patriots defeated Northeastern on the road last week in three sets, 25-19, 25-15 and 25-7. Union County is adjusting to several players who are sidelined for various reasons (injuries, illness, quarantines).

Franklin County cross country squads were tested last week with a total of three tournaments.

The Union County Lady Patriots posted an unblemished 7-0 Tri-Eastern Conference season record last week at Knightstown and walked away with the TEC Tournament Championship trophy at Memorial Park Golf Course on Saturday in New Castle.

It was a pleasant night for running a 5K and celebrating a quartet of Franklin County seniors, but the East Central Trojans did their part to dampen the mood by sweeping the Wildcats in co-ed cross country Thursday, Sept. 2.
