The Union County Lady Patriots headed north last week to engage the Union City Lady Indians in a Tri-Eastern Conference volleyball match.

At Lincoln last week, the Patriots won the coin toss at the beginning of the game, elected to receive, scored on first possession and each remaining possessions and squeezed in a safety before rain and lightning cancelled the game during halftime.

Union County boys soccer lost 7-0 to Batesville at home on Tuesday to open the season. The Patriots started the evening only suiting up 10 players and quickly fell behind the Bulldogs' squad.
