Disciplinary Hearing Held concerning Lt. Ryan Geiser, decision not reached

On Tuesday, Dec. 20, the Brookville Safety Board held a Disciplinary Action Hearing regarding disciplinary proceedings concerning Brookville Police Department (BPD) Lt. Ryan Geiser beginning at 6 p.m. at the Franklin County Government building.
The hearing was still in progress at 8 p.m. when the Brookville Town Council (BTC) meeting was scheduled. Therefore, the hearing was paused so the BTC could conduct the meeting.
The hearing resumed after the town board meeting and lasted until roughly midnight. Both attorneys called their witnesses and provided their closing statements. At that time, the hearing was closed, and another safety board meeting was scheduled to announce the decision of the safety board on Dec. 26 at 6 p.m.
The meeting was canceled due to inclement weather and has not been rescheduled at the time of print.
