William “Bill” Miller

William Robert “Bill” Miller, 83, of Connersville, passed away Saturday morning, December 24, 2022 at Heritage House of Connersville where he had been a resident the past two years.
He was born January 10, 1939 in Greensburg, the only child of William and Mary Margaret Norwald Miller. Bill graduated from Greensburg High School and entered the United States Army following high school, serving for two years. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Greensburg. Later, he attended Indiana Business College in Columbus.
For several years, he managed North American Van Lines and later with his family, he owned and operated Courthouse Inn in Connersville. Following Courthouse Inn, Bill was employed by Alpine Amusement/Ford Vending. Lastly, he worked as a sales associate for E. W. Brockman until his retirement.
Along with his family, Bill moved to Liberty for several years.
He was a member and elder at the Presbyterian Church in Liberty. He was also a member of the American Legion in Greensburg and the V. F. W. and Eagles Lodge in Connersville.
In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and playing golf. He also loved going camping with his family.
Survivors include two children, William Edward Miller of Illinois and Jill (Andy) Keller of Connersville; four grandchildren, Sarah Sanchez, Chase Keller, William Christopher Miller, and Haley Miller; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Grace Sanchez; a significant other, Deborah L. Hart of Connersville; several cousins; his step-children, Thomas “Dutch” Stockhoff, John Stockhoff, Tonya Stockhoff, Brenda Lee Brown, and Donald S. Stockhoff.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Judy Ann Miller and Barbara Louise Duenne Miller; his parents; and two sons, Mark R. Miller and Gary A. Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Connersville V. F. W. Lodge #571 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans Park across the street from the V. F. W.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Fayette County Cancer Society.
