Mary H. Moffett, age 69, of Liberty, died on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her residence. 

Mary was born on March 18, 1953 in Hamilton,Ohio to Karl Thomas and Nina Slack Hammerle. She married Peter Moffett on August 24, 1974. Mary had worked at The Stitching Nook in Richmond for 35 years, retiring in May 2022. Many of Mary's family and friends knew her as a fabric artist, she was dedicated to making sure her quilts were special and made with love. Sewing was Mary's passion; she taught several quilting classes and repaired sewing machines. An avid nature lover, Mary especially enjoyed bird watching and looking at wildflowers. Mary cherished her family most of all; she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. An exceptional cook Mary was always willing to cook for her family and friends, her house was filled with love and laughter. Mary will be missed by her family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband: Peter Moffett; her daughter: Lara A. Brown; her sons: Paul J. Moffett and Karl P. Moffett; her grandchildren: Sierra Brown; Michael Brown; Madison Landrum; Paul H. Moffett. 

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother: Paul F. Hammerle. 

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty. Friends may visit the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Refuge of Hope of Richmond Shelter for Women, in Mary's honor.
