Lillian Bridenhager

Lillian Frances (Pomeroy) Bridenhager, 92, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022.
She was born on May 2, 1930, to Bessie and Deloyd Pomeroy in Cincinnati. She was the youngest of four, having older brothers. She graduated from Loveland High School as Valedictorian. She graduated from Franklin College in 1953 with a degree in elementary education. She met Charles A. Bridenhager at Franklin College and they married June 18, 1954. After time in Louisiana for Charles' active Army stint, they settled in Liberty where Charles opened his dentistry practice in 1958. Lillian was active in the community and church. She earned a master’s degree in education from Ball State University. She was a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts, a member of the Clytie Club, Thursday Testers, Union County Council on Aging and Liberty Church of Christ. She was a substitute teacher for Union County Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, one daughter, Laura Charlene Daniel and a son-in-law, Vernon Schmidt. Survivors include her other daughters and spouses – Paulette (Richard) Worcester, Kathy Schmidt, Mary (Jack) Haberthier, Margaret (Kevin) Jackson and son-in-law, Tim Daniel. Survivors also include grandchildren – Megan Worcester, Doug (Megan) Whiting, Nicole (Alex) Harcourt, Wendi (Mike) McClellan, Francis (Cameron) Mikell, Andrew (Taylor) Bias, Matthew Bias, Colton (Taylor) Jackson, and Lillian Jackson. There are nine great-grandchildren and one expected in January.
The family wishes to thank Lisa Webb and the staff at Comfort Keepers, Connersville and the staff at Brookville Healthcare Center for their care over the past few years.
Visitation was Friday, November 18, 2022, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home in Liberty. Service followed at 11am with Pastor Lawrence Bartel of Oxford Presbyterian Church officiating.
