Obadiah “Obie” John Rodgers, age 45, of Richmond died Monday, November 14, 2022, at his home.
Born September 2, 1977, in Richmond to William John and Patricia Ann Delong Rodgers, Obie was a life-long resident of this area. He was a farmer.
Obie was also an RN, receiving his bachelor's degree at Indiana University. He worked at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis and Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville. Obie was a fisherman and hunter and loved the band, Phish. He was also a Porche enthusiast. Obie was a member of the Free Mason Webb Lodge 24 and Forest Hills Country Club. He was a jokester and you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Pamela Kutche Rodgers; parents; son, Christopher Brian Rodgers; sister, Abbie (Bryan) Leland and niece Sarah Southern; brother in-law, Alan (Heather) Kutche; grandmother, Emma Rodgers; nieces, Ashlynn, Brayleigh, Abby; nephews, Dawsyn, Heath, Cade, Braeden, Koen; in-laws; aunts; uncles; cousins; and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers and a grandmother.
Visitation for Obie Rodgers was Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Minister Rick Hawkins officiating. Burial was in Elkhorn Cemetery.
