CC Firefighters pay a visit to department veterans

The College Corner Volunteer Fire Department recently paid a visit to two of their department veterans, Gilbert Hill and John Johnston, both of whom now reside at the Woodland County Manor outside of Oxford. Chief Donnie Jackson decided to take the trucks and go pay the former firefighters a visit.
According to those who attended, including families of the veterans, three trucks and six firemen arrived in the front lot of the home on a sunny day with perfect weather. A former Middletown firefighter residing at Woodland joined the party as well, and the group got to visit outdoors by the trucks and swap stories about past and present firefighting days. A framed photo of Mr. Hill dated 1968 was presented to him to put up in his room. College Corner firemen who made the trip included Chief Donnie Jackson, Casey Lewis, Ryan and Dave Niehoff, Dave Reeder Jr, and Kevin Johnston. A great day was had by all!
