With Thanksgiving still fresh in our minds, the Christmas season is full swing and will be here before we know it .
The Women of Edwards Memorial Methodist Church have turned their baking talents to preparing cookies – lots and lots of homemade, fresh-baked cookies for the annual Cookie Walk.
To assist with your shopping and gift-giving plans, the Edwards Memorial United Methodist Women are preparing dozens and dozens of holiday cookies to make the 31st annual Cookie Walk better than ever.
“We missed having the Cookie Walk during Covid, and hope everyone is doing well now,” Sally Redinger said. “Hopefully this one will be extra special.”
The annual Cookie Walk will take place at Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church, 4 West Seminary Street in Liberty on Saturday, Dec. 10.
Rogers Fellowship Center will be transformed into an enormous cookie shop.
Imagine tables and tables filled with a variety of cookies, including sugar-free and gluten-free cookies.
Customers will choose a small box ($8) or large box ($14) to fill with the cookies of their choice within the 2-1/2 hour event.
Customers are asked to enter the Cookie Walk from the west parking lot and exit the Market Street door.
If you are counting down the days to Christmas, remember, the Cookie Walk is only 8-9 days away and a good time to shop for delicious homemade cookies that are sure to please.
Remember your box of cookies from the Cookie Walk helps others at the same time. The Edwards Memorial United Methodist Women sponsor the Cookie Walk with the proceeds assisting with local mission projects.
