Herbert Reinier, age 83, of Brookville, passed away in his home on September 25.
Born to Andrew and Hazel (Schlemmer) Reinier on July 21, 1939 in Cincinnati, Herbert married Barbara McFarland on July 13, 1963 and retired in 1990 from General Motors. Herbert loved his children, was a jack-of-all-trades, and was very family-oriented.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (McFarland) Reinier, his children Herbert “Butch” (Ann) Reinier, Sheila Vogt, Shelly (Duane) Anderson, and Rick (fiancé Shelley Wright) Reinier. Herbert is also survived by his grandchildren Megan Metcalf, Maggie Vogt, John Paul Vogt, Danielle Mobley, Mersadies Reinier, along with 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, his brother Omar (Sharon) Reinier and his sister-in-law Sharon Reinier. He is also survived by special friends Ralph and Aretta Harris.
Herbert was preceded in death by his daughter Katherine Reinier, parents Andrew and Hazel Reinier, brother Floyd Reinier, and granddaughter Erial Summers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, Sept. 29, followed by funeral services. all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will folloedw at Butler County Memorial Park.
