CONNERSVILLE – An abbreviated 2022 season for Franklin County cross country and its team of just three male runners came to an end at Saturday's sectional hosted by Connersville.

Senior Hunter Marshall placed 42nd in the boys race (20:11) for his final circuit. Junior Owen Darwish was 50th (21:19) and classmate Ethan Welke 62nd (25:42).

Northeastern and Chase Cates (17:02) of the Knights were champions. Centerville won the girls race while Jillian Chew of Tri High ran 20:20 to win.
