FCCSC Board: Nine for three spots
September 6, 2022 at 8:29 p.m.
A total of nine county residents – including a pair of incumbents – officially filed for three at-large seats up for grabs this November for the Franklin County Community School Corporation Board of Trustees. Deadline to file was Aug. 26.
Trustee Terry Bryant and board secretary Beth Foster are looking to hold onto positions first won in the 2018 election. Sharon Wesolowski, board vice-president also elected in '18, elected not to file; she will serve her term until the end of the calendar year.
This means there will be at least one new candidate joining the board from the following: Sean M. Berns, Joel C. Biltz, Adrienne W. Greene, Kevin M. Kaiser, Mary R. Keck, Scott M. McDonough and Brandy R. Wilson.
McDonough currently represents Franklin County Council in District 2. However, he fell in the May primary to Dean McQueen, making him eligible for school board starting Jan. 1 should he be a top-three vote getter.
The general election is Nov. 8, 2022.
