A second death investigation is underway in Connersville after Joshua Durham, 47, of Connersville was found deceased on Saturday in a yard on 13th and Grand Street in Connersville.

The Connersville Police Department (CPD), Indiana State Police (ISP) and Fayette County Coroner's Office are in the early stages of the investigation and are actively seeking information surrounding the incident.

“Our department has been in constant communication with Mayor Frank who has offered any assistance to supplement our needs as this investigation continues,” said CPD Chief Randy Bolos. “Public Safety is, and always will be the priority of this department. We ask for patience and understanding as we move forward in this investigation and understand the timing of released information is only done in the interest of advancing our efforts and investigative team.”

A family member of Durham shared a heartfelt message on social media asking anyone with information to come forward.

“I am begging if someone knows anything about what happened to Josh to please come forward. Anything at all. Someone has to know something….

If this were your loved one you would want to know the person responsible for taking their life. No one deserves this happening to them. Whoever is responsible needs to answer for the pain they've caused. They shouldn't be walking around freely after taking the life of another human being. Please, if you know anything at all, go to the police or us with any information.”

CPD stated they have no reason to suspect Durham's death is related to the ongoing death investigation of Thomas Combs who was found deceased in Dale Cemetery from a gun shot wound on Aug. 17.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Josh Tudor at 765 825 2111 ext. 251.
