David Muckridge
September 29, 2022 at 5:26 p.m.
David Alan Muckridge was born in Richmond, to Elsie Patricia Miller Fossenkemper, and Glenn Elmer Muckridge, Jr. on Sept. 13, 1959. He graduated from Union County High School in Liberty.
David was a talented machinist and had the mind of an inventor, with a creative and artistic soul. He developed several inventions, including one of particular pride: a cutting-edge and patented fishing reel. He was also an avid outdoorsman, and when he moved to Arizona spent many weekends exploring the desert in his favorite Jeep pickup, four-wheeling, hunting and skeet shooting. David was an honest and straightforward friend who would call it like he saw it, and he loved spending time with his tightknit group of friends at the local hangout.
David is survived by daughter Shaina Bollinger of Chamberlain, South Dakota; sons Tanner Muckridge of Newel, South Dakota and Drake Muckridge of Tempe, Arizona; sister Sheila Muckridge and mother Pat Fossenkemper of Portland, Oregon; nephews Evan Muckridge of Rolla, Missouri and Levi Muckridge of Liberty. David is preceded in death by his father Glenn Muckridge, and brothers Brian and Patrick Muckridge.
A small gathering for family will take place early in 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NAMI.org or other crisis/mental health non-profits. If you or someone you know and love is experiencing mental health-related distress or if you are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support, call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, where you can connect with a trained crisis counselor.
