Franklin County residents lose everything in devastating fire

Franklin County residents and long-time Franklin County Community School Corporation bus drivers Patricia and Robert Hoffman lost everything when their house burned down on April 2. Their daughter Alexandrea Hoffman has started a GoFundMe for her parents. She is asking the community to help them as they have helped so many.
“They have dedicated their time, money and life to tons of foster kids over the years," Alexandrea said. "I was one of those kids. They took us in off the streets and adopted us, and gave us the home we never had. They've given to the community over all these years and never ask for a thing back.”
As a result of the fire, Sharptown Road was shut down for a few hours.
Alexandrea described the home as "burnt to the ground" once the fire was extinguished, meaning not only was the house a complete loss, but all of the belongings inside were as well.
“My parents are in desperate need of help right now,” said Alexandrea Hoffman. "They will not ask for it, so I'm going to do it for them! Please, let's come together and help my folks.”
Alexandrea has set a fundraiser goal on GoFundMe of $15,000.
She explained she is trying to raise enough to put a trailer on the property until her parents can rebuild. The Hoffmans are also in need of basic necessities such as clothes and household items. As of April 4, $520 has been raised.
