Franklin County Quarter Auction: Why to attend
April 12, 2023 at 5:31 p.m.
This Saturday, April 15th, FC CAN (Franklin County Cancer Assistance Now) will be holding a Quarter Auction beginning at 2pm. The doors will open around 12:30pm to 1pm.
The quarter auction is a fundraiser to help those residents in Franklin County who are battling cancer. This is done through grants and resources such as food pantries, car rides, gas cards, gift cards for groceries, and much more. The FC CAN understands how debilitating and draining your cancer journey is, so these auctions allow them and our community to step forward and help provide additional support.
Due to the pandemic, fundraisers had to be put on hold. However, grants of $500 will be awarded. All applicants will never be turned away, though it is required to have a proof of diagnosis available.
During the auction, Kirshell Lovins states that there will be various vendors set up. They will be selling their creations, as well as donating pieces for the auction. These vendors include pampered chef, scentsy, artists, homemade crafts, crafted cups, and tupperware. All donations will go towards the auction to raise money. Donations will also be accepted at the door and there is no entrance fee.
The FC CAN may be small, but the board of directors are steadfast in the determination to help our friends and family have the maximum comfort needed during their journey.
