The Patriots were scoreless in the top of the first, while the Wildcats had a big 2-run homer from Kassidy Schell in the bottom of the first. But once again this didn't last long when the senior Rolfes had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth tying it all up. In the 6th the Patriots and the Wildcats scored 2 runs keeping the score at an even 7-7.

Harris and her defense behind her held the Patriots leading to a big bottom of the eighth. Stang started the inning off quick with a triple. Lake then had the opportunity to bunt to walk the game off. Lake had a perfect bunt to the first base side allowing Stang to score. This broke the Patriots' undefeated record.
