Brookville IGA here in Franklin County is not only known for its great prices, but also for the weekend cookouts it holds during Spring to Fall. These are held in the parking lot out front of the store and thanks to employees of the store, the organizations who are helping get some assistance.

When speaking to Eddie, one of the managers down at IGA, he states that the cookouts have been going on for about seven years now. All money made not only benefits IGA, but also the organization or business who came down to help with the cookout. These are great for raising money and they provide the community a fun dining experience. While there are no plans to ever change how the cookouts are run, it is the hope of many that these cookouts become a pillar for raising money for our local organizations, businesses, and causes for a better community overall.
