Brandon Matthew Reeder, age 30, passed away peacefully early Friday, August 11, 2023 at his residence in Brookville, following a brief illness.
Born March 14, 1993 in Batesville, he was the youngest of two sons born to Dale and Paula (Kirschner) Reeder. He was a graduate of Franklin County High School.
Brandon had been employed at On-Target in Sunman, prior to his cancer diagnosis. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being with his son, Beau; fishing, watching horror movies; and was a writer having written his own novel, “The Pact.”
He was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville.
Survivors include his son, Beau Reeder of Brookville; his parents, Dale and Paula Reeder of Brookville; a brother, Jeremy (fiancé, Talor Scalf) of Laurel, his maternal grandmother, Bernice Kirschner of Brookville; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Faye Reeder; his maternal grandfather, Carl Kirschner; his aunt Tonya Reeder, as well as an uncle, Rick Bischoff.
Family and friends visited on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Vincent Lampert, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 16, 2023; 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville. Burial will then follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
