Ruth C. Beesley

Ruth C. Beesley, of Brookville was born on December 12, 1927, in Oak Forest, a daughter to Joseph and Veronica (Barnhorst) Fledderman.  She attended school at Oak Forest and then Brookville High School.  She married Glen Beesley on May 7, 1947, and together they raised six children.  Ruth was a homemaker until all her children were in school, then she worked for Sperry Rubber and Plastics and later at the Brookville Democrat.   Ruth liked cooking, baking, having company and playing cards.  She enjoyed playing games and cards with her grandchildren and nieces, going to card club and spending time with her friends.  On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the young age of 95, Ruth passed away at Brookville Healthcare.  

Those surviving who will cherish Ruth's memory include her children: John (Becky) Beesley, Carol (Randy) Kirkpatrick, Richard (Debbie) Beesley, Nancy (Raymond) Hansel, Lester (Tonya) Beesley, and Mike Beesley; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a lot of nieces and nephews, and many great card-playing friends.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers and their wives: Charles and Eileen Fledderman, Paul and Grace Fledderman and Earl and Janet Fledderman.  

Visitation was Saturday, August 12 from 9:30 until 11:30am at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  A Mass of Christian burial followed at St. Michael Catholic Church, 145 East St. Michael's Blvd., Brookville at 12 noon.  Following cremation, burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
