Donald Lee Wilson, 81, a life-long Rush County resident, passed away August 23, 2023 in Indianapolis. Don was born December 18, 1941 in Rushville to Alton and Dorothy (Pike) Wilson. He was a 1959 graduate of New Salem School. He married Donna Raye Owens on June 26, 1966 and she survives.

Don retired in 2007 after he had worked 29 years for Schnadig Corporation in Rushville and 18 years for Printpack in Greensburg.

He was a member of Little Flatrock Christian Church and attended the First Baptist Church in Rushville. Don was active in the New Salem Lion's Club for many years.

He loved to refinish furniture and work in his yard. He would spend many afternoons on his front porch visiting with neighbors and he always looked forward to cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events.

Don will be missed by his wife, Donna, of Rush County, his son, Michael of Carthage, his grandchildren, Makayla (David) Antill, Matthew and Andrew Wilson and his great-grandsons, Trey, Davey, Waylon and Granger Antill. Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor John Wall presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Flatrock Christian Church or to First Baptist Church.
