Susan Gindling says goodbye to her salon family

By Cheyenne Lance-

Susan Gindling, a long-time beautician of Franklin County, has started 2023 off with retirement. Susan was an employee for Mi'Lady's for 45 years, taking care of customers and ensuring they have a happy experience. During her time here in Franklin County, Susan used to work for her mother before she bought Mi'Lady's and took over ownership. Susan ran the salon for several years, building up her brand name and helping to solidify the relationships between customer satisfaction and professionalism. Now, Susan has put down her scissors for the last time. Her colleagues wanted to show her how appreciative they were and how much she will be missed by throwing Susan a surprise retirement party. It was an all-day event held at the salon where our residents could pop in any time. Susan was visited by nearly 100 people. Some had gifts, heartfelt cards, sweet words, and tearful goodbyes. "I sat and read the cards last night, and I teared up a bit. I didn't know I would be missed this much," Susan states. Now retired, Susan says she plans on spending her days with family. She has more time to focus on her grandchildren and wants to make the best of her free time now. From Franklin County and Whitewater Publications, we wish you a wonderful retirement Susan!
