An arrest tied to woman’s remains found in Cedar Grove has been made

Katelyn Markham went missing from her Fairfield home in the early morning of Aug. 14, 2011. Her remains were found in April of 2013, at a dump site in Cedar Grove, about 33 miles from her home in Fairfield. Her death was declared a homicide shortly afterward. Her cause of death remains unknown.
However, after almost 12 years, an arrest tied to the case has been made. On Friday, Jan. 17, investigators arrested Jonathan Palmerton on one count of perjury regarding Markham's case, according to the Butler County Prosecutor's Office. He is currently being held at the Butler County Jail.
