New Expo Hall for the fairgrounds: how to help
February 22, 2023 at 7:16 p.m.
With plenty of new and old projects buzzing in Brookville, one of those that is steadily rising is the new Expo Hall. Brian Baxter explains that the Expo Hall will be added on to the Franklin County Fairgrounds.
Recently, a fundraiser was held to start the process of getting the Expo Hall, and it's all thanks to the 4-H community, their friends, family, and other volunteers. Items sold towards the hall were bricks, t-shirts, and the use of other upcoming events.
Currently, the fundraiser has earned $16,245, which means the funds are already sitting at 83% raised. The goal is $1.2 million. According to Brian, if anybody wishes to purchase a brick that will be displayed on the front of the building, they are to contact any 4-H member.
The construction will begin this upcoming Fall, and will continue until the Expo Hall is complete.
To help showcase the efforts of the 4-H community and all they do, it was decided to try something new by using a clover. This clover will be 6ft x 6ft and will be progressive. This means that any additional donations added, along with your name and business, will be labeled on the clover and move up to the higher amounts listed. Everyone is encouraged to attend the upcoming rodeo and fair this summer, to not only support our 4-H community, but also to help their progress towards their new hall.
Brian Baxter expresses thanks to Mick and Jenny Wilz of Third Place Brookville for hosting this incredible event.
