Howard Wissman, 90, of Lafayette passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Franciscan East.
Howard was born November 20, 1932 in McComb County, Michigan to Arthur Karl and Ilda Olive (Brill) Wissman. He was a high school graduate of Brookville High School and then attended Purdue University. He also proudly served with the Army.
Howard first married Dixie Holley and they divorced. He later married Axie Snell and they divorced.
Howard worked For Rea Magnet Wire in all capacities.
He was a member of New Hope Fellowship. Howard enjoyed bowling, playing golf, riding his Harley, and was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving is one son, Andrew Wissman (Jennifer Garrett) of Lafayette; one sister, Ilda Marie Wissman; four grandchildren: Dustin (Christina) Wissman, Eric Staddon, Naomi (Oz) Herrera, Nathan Wissman; and one great-grandchild, Amias Herrera.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Holley Staddon, and brother, Chuck Wissman.
