Spartans take golf sectional; Wildcats 6th

RICHMOND- The 2023 boys golf sectional took place on Monday at the Elks Country Club in Richmond. Three teams advanced on to regional which will take place Thursday at Providence. The top three teams advance and the top three low scoring individuals, excluding those who advance with a team. Ties for third place must be played off to advance.
The Richmond sectional featured nine teams, with Connersville, Richmond, and Centerville advancing after taking the top three spots. The top five players were Centerville's Brady Moore and Richmond's Ryder Cate who both finished with a 75. Connersville's Will Chalker (77) and Cooper Kinsey (78) took third and fourth respectively. Ethan Werking (78) of Hagerstown and Gage Tipton (81) of Union County will both be advancing along with Northeastern's Hayden Chalfant who shot an 85.

Franklin County Wildcats (363) - Drew Meyer 89, Brady Foster 89, Peyton McCreary 91, Landen Wuestefeld 94, and Carson Allen 104
