INDIANAPOLIS – The Oldenburg Academy No. 1 doubles unit of seniors Mimi Wilder and Evelyn Storms reached the final six of the state doubles competition. There, however, their journey ended with a straight-set loss in Friday's opening match of the quarterfinals.
At Park Tudor High School, the Twister tandem lost 6-3, 6-4 to Rachel Grissom and Caroline Robinson of Indianapolis North Central, only the second time the pair tasted defeat all season. Grissom and Robinson made it to Saturday's championship match before falling to Jasper's Allison Schnarr and Brailyn Whaley in three sets. Carmel won this year's team championship.
Wilder and Storms finished an excellent year at 24-2. Great job!
