Larry Wayne Ellison, 68, of Laurel, passed away Saturday evening, June 17, 2023 at Kettering Memorial Hospital, Kettering, Ohio.
He was born August 18, 1954 in Connersville to Charles and Nelda Marcum Ellison.
In his younger years, Larry was employed at D. & M. For a time, he also lived in Montana where he worked as a welder. Most recently, Larry was a self-employed carpenter.
He was a member of the Laurel Conservation Club, AMVETS, and the VFW.
A talented craftsman, Larry built motorcycles and made things out of wood. He enjoyed watching John Wayne Western movies.
A family man, Larry cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Jennifer Hamilton of Glenwood, Jeffery Ellison (Amy Hunter) of Laurel, and Bray Ellison of Centerville; eleven grandchildren, Taylor Hamilton, Caleb Smith, Dustin Smith, Tasha Moore, Devon Ellison, Jeffery Ellison Jr., Nevaeh Ellison, Johnathon Ellison, Brayden Ellison, Kayleigh Ellison, and Clayton Ellison; five great- grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Crystel) Ellison; two sisters, Ronda (Russell) Bowne and Beverly (Tim) Chriswell; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Carlie Rose; and a grandson, Zaiden Ellison.
Friends visited Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Crosspointe Biker Church. A funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Robert E. Lee officiating. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
