March 8, 2023 at 8:37 p.m.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints” (Ps. 116:15). The Lord now has another precious one of His children with Him in Heaven.
Monetta Sherrie Sampson Antonio was born on September 30, 1950 at home in Whitcomb. She passed away and went to her heavenly home on the morning of February 21, 2023. Sherrie loved her Lord from the time she was young, and her love was always apparent to anyone who knew her.
Sherrie lived the first part of her life around the Brookville area. Later she moved to Los Angeles where she began working in her career as an insurance bookkeeper. She continued that work when she and her son moved to Indianapolis. When she retired, she worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She dearly loved her clients.
Sherrie leaves behind many who love her: her son, Brian, and two granddaughters, Chloe and Kaysha, all of Indianapolis. She also leaves one brother, Richard (Sandy) Sampson of Boise, and one sister Ruth (Howard) Campbell of Connersville. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucy Burch Sampson and Paul Sampson, her maternal grandparents Daisy Marcum Burch and Riley Burch, and her paternal grandparents Ola Frye-Sampson Chambers and John Sampson. She also is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: Melvin Sampson, Roy Monroe, LeRoy Monroe, Wayne Monroe, Floyd Sampson, Audrey Hunter, and Joan Conner. She has lost many other friends and relatives whom she dearly loved.
