Butterflies are symbols to many people, symbols of strength and resilience, comfort and endurance, growth and rebirth, grace and good luck. These representations are incredibly diverse and as they are beautiful creatures, these butterflies are a lot like the people of Brookville. They are a fun way to liven up Main Street and welcome summer.

Main Street Brookville, Inc is sponsoring the Butterflies of Brookville. Various businesses, individuals, and organizations have created their own “brand” of butterfly. Mother Nature at its best. As you stroll down Main Street, enjoy the artwork and local talent. These butterflies are not made with brand new material. They are made with recycled material, and each consist of their own unique design catered to the creator's hobbies, work, or personality. Thanks to Complete Packaging Solutions, Inc for providing the cardboard to help create these butterflies. Each butterfly will have the artist’s name, a short line of how butterflies are impactful in nature and to humans. Some examples are evolution, freedom, endurance, positivity, grace, and pollinators. Many cultures have spiritual belief connected to butterflies. We hope you enjoy the Butterflies of Brookville.

Main Street Brookville, Inc invite you to participate and create a butterfly. There will be four $25 gift certificates given out to the butterfly entries, judged on creativity, original, and beauty. Contact Cheryl Kaiser, at FCN Bank for more information. Entries due by May 25.
