Cindy Hall achieves incredible honor

By Cheyenne Lance-

Here in Franklin County, one woman has been making waves as she moves forward with what is probably one of her biggest accomplishments to date, as well as an extraordinary honor towards Brookville.

Cindy Hall, who works down at Four Seasons Florist, will be inducted into the AIFD this upcoming July in Chicago.

The AIFD is the American Institute of Floral Design and once Cindy is formally pinned, she will now carry the AIFD title. These are the highest credentials worldwide for floral design and can be achieved through years of schooling, practice, and work. As of right now, there are 22 designers in the state of Indiana, but none from Brookville have ever received the credentials until now.

Cindy is an amazing floral designer who is well-versed in horticulture and the methods of care and growth. She mentions how she has known since she was seven years old that she wanted to be a florist. This began with her always planting seeds and learning to make them grow. As she grew older, Cindy attended a horticulture program through vocational school for two years, where she delved deeper into floral design, growth, types, and upkeep.

Encouraged by another highly talented employee, Savannah, Cindy opted to test for the AIFD. The test comes in two parts. First is a written exam.

After, there is a 4-hour, hands-on test where participants are to create various designs using the plants provided for them.

Over 100 people tested, but only 32 had passed.

Now these 32 winners, Cindy being included, will receive their AIFD pins on July 3rd, 2023 in Chicago.

Cindy Hall is talented in her work, knowledgeable, and can whip up just about any floral design you imagine. The years and dedication she has put towards Four Seasons and its customers show how well-deserved this honor is and we all wish nothing but congratulations towards her.

Stop in to see Cindy, give her a congratulations, and check out some of her work!
