Jim Sublett, age 70 of New Trenton, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 25, 1953, in Elwood, to Leona Sublett. Married to Bobbie Basham May 26, 1973.
Jim retired from Glenmore Company after 32 years as a Tool Die maker. He enjoyed his family, friends, camping, frying chicken at the local festivals, and car shows. Jim was known as a generous man who would do anything for anyone, and he knew no stranger. He was always ready with a laugh or a joke, he was also known to be quite a prankster. His house was always open to all the neighborhood children, was a true child advocate.
Survived by his loving wife Bobbie Sublett. Father of Danielle (Christopher) Dornbach, Donald (Julie) Sublett, and Jason (Lauren) Sublett. Grandfather of Montana (Eric), Breana, and Lucas. Great-grandfather of Brentley, Corbin, and Braxton. Brother of Rick (Mary) Basham and cousin of Stuart (Terri) Lockwood and Loris (Tim) Kudela.
Preceded in death by his mother Leona Sublett, grandmother Zelma Clouse and aunt and uncle Ted and Helen (Honey) Lockwood.
Visitation was held Friday, May 12, 2023, until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. A burial followed at Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery in Cedar Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to New Trenton Volunteer Fire Department or Loving Hearts Hospice & Palliative Care c/o the funeral home.
