Friday, the host Wildcats pounded starter Jack Barnes and relievers Bryce Berkemeier and Kam Morton to win 10-0 in five innings.

FC put up crooked numbers in the second, third and fourth innings to post Friday's shutout. The Wildcats led 5-0 after two. Eli Butt faced just 17 batters, allowing a single to Barnes and plunking Keegan Bowles; he struck out seven Rushville batters. Barnes took the loss with Berkemeier and Kam Morton coming on in relief. Garrett Kuntz drove in three for FC and Avery Harrison two. FC had just four hits, three for extra bases.

Monday, the Cats faced Connersville in the sectional championship match and seniors Ertel and Xander Rodriguez made the most of what would be their final game this season. Ertel scored in the first inning after getting on with a single. Moizuk singled to score Ertel. The Spartans added two runs in the first frame and led 2-1 until the third inning. Moizuk picked up another RBI single this time knocking in Rodriguez and tying the game at 2-2. Chase Burton was on the mound for FC and the Spartans got the better of the senior in the fourth inning. Connersville scored five runs on four hits and took a 7-2 lead. The Wildcats attempted a seventh inning comeback when Ertel and Rodriguez both got on to start the inning. Moizuk picked up his third RBI in the game with a sacrifice fly that scored Ertel. Harrison then singled scoring Rodriguez to cut the lead to three, but a groundout ended the inning and the season for FC. Burton went 4.1 innings and allowed seven runs on nine hits. Butt finished the game on the hill going 2.2 innings with four strikeouts. The Wildcats finished the season 16-10 and 8-6 in EIAC games, a two game improvement from last season (14-12, 6-8) where they also lost to the Spartans in the sectional championship to end their season.
