Barbara Quinlan

Barbara Quinlan, of Brookville, was born on November 16, 1949, in Hamilton, Ohio, a daughter to Owen and Thelma Stacy Brashear.  She married John Quinlan on March 3, 1968, in Brookville and he survives.  Barbara was a homemaker and a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and doing crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.  On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the age of 73, she passed away at Brookville Healthcare.

Those surviving who will cherish Barbara's memory include her husband of over 55 years, John Quinlan; two sons, Russell Quinlan, and Joel (Brenda) Quinlan, both of Brookville; grandchildren, Trey Quinlan, Taylor Stewart, Blake Quinlan, Rachel Quinlan, and Destiny Quinlan; four great-granddaughters, and four great-grandsons; one brother, Mike Brashear of Brookville and a sister, Carolyn Day of Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends visited with the family on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  The funeral service began at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, and burial followed in Big Cedar Cemetery.
