Jan Marie Baker, age 65, of Oldenburg died early Wednesday morning September 6, 2023 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born November 21, 1957 in Rushville she was one of nine children born to the late Bob and Sadie (Blevins) Judd. On July 5, 1999 she was united in marriage to James Baker and he survives.
She had worked for many years as a waitress. In her leisure time she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, and also enjoyed her weekly trips to the farmers market where she and Jim set up their produce stand.
Besides Jim, her loving husband of over 24 years, survivors include three children, Taneva (Mark Tenvin) Baker of Chicago, Annie (Steve Heffron) Lucas of Batesville and Ashley and Sean Stoneburner of Batesville; four grandchildren, Madeline Olin, Zachary Stoneburner, Chloe West, Matthew Frye; two sisters, Roxanne (Russ) Keener of Clarksburg, West Virginia, Lisa Steele of Laurel, two brothers, Henry Judd of Waxahachie, Texas and Jeff Judd of Connersville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael G. Barrett, who died March 16, 2021; two sisters, Sarah Walls and Helen Rickman; two brothers, Rick Judd and Butch Judd.
Family and friends visited on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Mike Holman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Brookville, officiated the funeral service on Sunday, September 10, 2023, 4:00 p.m., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville on Monday.
