Elizabeth Marie Brown (nee Brandenburg) passed away peacefully February 23, 2021 at Rockledge Medical Center in Brevard County, Florida at the age of 96.

Marie was born in Union County in the Dunlapsville/Quakertown area to William J Brandenburg and Edna Isabel Funk Brandenburg on August 18, 1924. An active alumna in later years, Marie graduated from Short High School in Liberty in 1943. Marie started work at American Central locally then moved to Cincinnati where she worked as a receptionist and model. In 1952 Marie married John T. Brown at Brownsville Methodist. She had 2 sons, David and Douglas, both living in Florida. Daughter-in-law Cindy and grandson Wesley, as well as brother Lowell and his wife Marilyn of Brownsville, survive her along with many nieces and nephews.

At the time of her passing, Marie worked full-time as a receptionist in her apartment building in Florida and had been active as president of the building's social club. Marie was memorialized in a ceremony at the Dunlapsville Cemetery on what would have been her 97th birthday August 18, 2021. Her “Life in Photos” can be viewed online.
