Marianne Scheper (nee Kennel), age 93, of Edgewood, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 16th.

She was preceded in death by parents Elton and Virginia (Carbery) Kennel, her late husband William Scheper (1983), her brothers John, Ival, Lorne and sister Lillian Kennel.

Marianne leaves behind her loving children Jane Meier (Steve), Nancy Kubala (Paul), Bill Scheper (Kim), Guy Scheper (Jenny), Tim Scheper (Vicky), Steve Scheper (Jennifer), Joseph Scheper (Kevin), Jennifer Bilz (Brian); her siblings Jean Kruthaupt (Leo), Rosemary Ball (Lloyd), Elton Kennel (late Helen), George Kennel (Ruth); her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Hank and Marian McCoy and sister-in-law Deb Scheper; her 13 grandchildren, her 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and newphews. Marianne was born in Dayton, OH and was the oldest of 9 children.

She graduated from Brookville High School in 1945. She and her husband Bill were married in 1949 in St. Peter, IN. Marianne enjoyed socializing in many clubs including Ft. Mitchell Seniors, Hilltoppers, and Golden Age. She especially loved to travel, and relished any opportunity to play cards, with both her friends and later on with her great-grandchildren. Marianne took a lot of joy in tending to her various plants and flowers, and was also an avid bird-watcher. She loved gathering with her family and friends.

Marianne’s visitation and mass were held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at St. Pius X, Edgewood, KY. Interment immediately followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redwood Rehabilitation Center, 71 Orphanage Rd., Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017 or New Perceptions, Inc., 1 Sperti Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
