Samuel Johnson, 73 of Michigan passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at his home in Marcellus Michigan.

He was born in Brookville, Indiana on October 11, 1948, the son of Samuel Johnson and Irene (Long) Johnson.

On July 8, 1967, in Brookville Indiana, he married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Diane Grimes, who survives him in death.

Samuel was a very hard worker and retired from GM as a tool & die maker, after 32 years of service. He loved his farm and was a huge fan of IU basketball. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter's softball and band competitions. Samuel is survived by his wife Diane Johnson; son Scott (Katie) Johnson of Marcellus; granddaughters; Savannah (Jared) VanderBor of Kalamazoo; Emma Johnson of Vicksburg; great-great granddaughter Mae VanderBor; brothers George (Fay) Johnson of Burlington; Charles (Diane) Johnson; sisters-in-law Patricia Johnson of Portage; Carol Johnson of Richland.

Samuel is preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Johnson of Richland and Jim Johnson of Portage.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Edwards Corner Bible Church. Online condolences may be left at www.materralstonfuneralhome.com.
