Long-time Liberty resident Gary “Tiny” Greye, 73, died on Dec. 15, 2021 at Reid Health in Richmond after a brief illness.

Tiny was born to James Walter and Marjorie (Barcus) Greye on May 30, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio. Tiny was wed to Dianne Pruet on June 2, 1982 in Jellico, TN. and they spent thirty seven wonderful years together. Tiny was employed as a machine repairman at Ford, later Visteon, in Connersville where he retired after many years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, watching western films, listening to classic country music, mowing his lawn, and spending time outdoors. It was not unusual to find Tiny playing pool with friends or socializing at the American Legion Post 122 in Liberty. He was an avid collector of knives, coins and comic books, spending countless hours at auctions and flea markets searching for items to add to his collection. Tiny never met a stranger, where his friendly disposition would be on display.

Spending time with his family is what he loved the most. Tiny will be missed by all that know and love him.

Tiny is survived by his son, Chris Greye and his wife Sarah of Liberty; three daughters, Kelley Davis, husband Jayson of Brewton, AL., Leanne Rigsby of Liberty, and Tracy Greye, companion Steve, of Hebron, KY.; a daughter in law, Donna Rigsby, of College Corner, IN.; 2 brothers, Mark Greye, wife Denise, of Brookville, and Mike Greye of New York, NY.; a sister in-law, Brenda Kunkel of Connersville; ten grandchildren, Shanon Getz, husband Neil, Sarah Strait, husband Brandon, Dakota Patterson companion Macie, Brittany Lindsey, husband Matt, Kevin Davis, Kyle Davis, Hunter Greye, Sydney Caskey, Brooke Greye, Branden Greye; 9 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Lauren, Landon, Mason, Ellie, Oliver, Rylee, Elena and Waylon; and many friends.

Tiny was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dianne, who died on December 8, 2019; his son Mark Rigsby, his brother Ronnie Greye, and his brother in-law, Lynn Pruet.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Dean Van Winkle, on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel in Liberty, Indiana. Friends may visit the funeral home on Tuesday Dec. 21, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Dale Cemetery in Connersville. Memorial contributions may be given to Ayla Lou's Butterflies at Bath State Bank in Tiny's honor.
