Indian Creek Fishing won the club trophy Sunday as Indiana B.A.S.S. Nation hosted its high school and junior state tournaments on Brookville Lake. Top three weights were taken from each club and IC totaled 23.93 pounds for three twosomes.

State champions’ rankings were based on the total haul and weight brought in by high school tandems. Weighing in five fish at 11.97 lbs. was New Palestine’s top team. South Putnam took the runner-up spot (10.4) and became a qualifying team for the national championships at Chickamauga Lake in Dayton, Tennessee July 29-31 as well.

Winning $50 gift cards from Honey Creek with 5 fish (biggest bass at 3.41) and a total of 10.15 for third place was an Indian Creek duo. A pair of Brownsburg young men took fourth (5 fish, 9.33). In fifth was Owen County (5 fish, 7.9). The Big Bass Award went to Southeastern Anglers for a 3.87-pounder. Anglers of the Year came from Brownsburg.
