Franklin County boys golf lost a dual April 26 at Brook Hill, falling 167-173 to Union County. Cameron Woods of the Patriots was meet medalist, firing a 39.

Austin Hill tied UC’s Luke Yamashiro at 41 and the Cats’ Adam Kelly matched the Pats’ Zeb Hall at 43. Kaleb York (UC) and Josh Bauman (FC) each scored a 44. Kaden Erfman had a 45, the same as Nick Orr and Hartbarger of the Patriots. Peyton McCreary (49) and Drew Meyer (53) scored 49 and 53, respectively, for the Cats. The JV squads tied at 204.

In a 3-way meet Monday at Richmond Elks, the host Red Devils won with a score of 171. Second was Rushville at 180, followed by FC in third at 191. Richmond’s Alex Brown was medalist by carding 40.

The Batesville Invitational was held Saturday morning at Hillcrest Golf & Country Club, with the Wildcats coming in 10th out of 12 schools. The Cats shot a collective 404 as New Palestine won the event with a 334. Greensburg was 4th (362), Oldenburg Academy 5th (374), East Central 7th (390) and BHS 8th (396). Sam McWilliams of Mt. Vernon (Fortville) was medalist with a round of 76.

Kelly paced FC at 97 with Hill coming in at the century mark and Bauman at 101. McCreary fired 106 and Erfman 108.

FC will head back to Hillcrest Thursday to face OA, Lawrenceburg and Greensburg, then move on to Connersville’s Willowbrook Country Club for Saturday’s Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference meet.
