Patriots Volleyball– Sectionals coming to town

The UC reserves won in two sets, 25-6, 25-14, and the varsity Lady Pats posting 25-7, 25-5 and 25-10 set wins in Tri-Eastern Conference play.
UC took care of business on the court after honoring senior members of the team – Kasey Lang, Hannah Wulf and manager Faith Richardson.
Elyse Peters, Chloe Greene and Wulf were heavy hitters with 8, 5 and 5 kills, respectively.
Brooke Fields dug up 13 balls and Lang made many of the kills possible with 23 of the team’s 24 total assists.
Tri was led by senior Ella Moffett (2 kills) and sophomore McKaela Bersch (2 blocks).
In the final tally, the Lady Patriots won 3 straight sets.
UC Invitational is Oct. 9
After a trip to North Decatur tonight (Oct 7), the Lady Patriots return home to host the eight team UC Volleyball Invitational Saturday, Oct 9, at Roy E. Stevens Gymnasium (Court #1) and the Auxiliary Gym (Court #2).
Court #1 Adams Central vs Whiteland at 9 a.m. Union County vs Seton Catholic at 10 a.m. Seton Catholic vs Adams Central 11 a.m. Union County vs Whiteland 12 p.m. Whiteland vs Seton Catholic 1 p.m. Union County vs Adams Central 2 p.m. Fifth place match 3 p.m. First place match 4 p.m..

IHSAA Class 2A Volleyball Sectional
Union County High School is host to the six-team IHSAA Class 2A Sectional 41 Oct 14 and 16. Athletic director Ryan Overholt released the schedule early Monday morning as follows:
Thursday, Oct 14, Match 1-Union County versus Eastern Hancock at 6 p.m. and Match 2-Northeastern takes on Knightstown at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct 16, Match 3-Centerville plays the winner of Match 1 at 11 a.m. and Match-4 Hagerstown takes on the winner of Match 2 at 12:30 p.m. The winners of Match 3 and 4 will play in the Championship match at 7 p.m.
Union County defeated Tri High 25-7, 25-5, 25-10.
