Born September 2, 1959, in Richmond, to Ernest and Louise Brandenburg Stinson Jr., Eric was a life-long resident of Brownsville. He graduated from Union County High School in 1979. Eric took great pride in maintaining Ranck Cemetery and the Stinson farm property, both in Philomath. He formerly attended First Baptist Church of Centerville and served as a volunteer. Eric enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, and camping. He was a huge sports fan and especially liked watching the Centerville High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. Eric never met a stranger and will be dearly missed. 

Survivors include his sisters, Lisa Kaye Shiverdecker of Brownsville and LeAnne Eldridge of Connersville; brother, Bryan (Julie) Stinson of Brownsville; nieces; nephews; uncle and aunt, Lowell and Marilyn Brandenburg of Brownsville; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Graveside service for Eric A. Stinson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Stensaas officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
