Gerald Davidson, age 75 of West Harrison, passed away Sunday, April 10, at the Waters of Batesville. Born Nov. 5, 1946 in Batesville, the son of the Delbert and Alpha (Riley) Davidson.

Gerald a 1964 graduate of Newpoint High School, married Louretta Hicks on May 7, 1988 at Smyrna Baptist Church in West Harrison. He served his country in the United Sates Army during Vietnam and awarded the Purple Heart for his services. Gerald was a member of the American Legion Post #199 in Harrison and Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church.

Gerald is survived by his wife Louetta Davidson. He is the step-father to Angela Alexander, Gregory Hicks, Amberley Emery and Jerry Emery. He is the grandfather to 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grand-children. Gerald is also survived by his brother Paul (Mary Ann) Davidson and his sister Malvery McDaniel.

He is preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Alpha Davidson and great- grandson Nicholas Woodruff.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 14, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Chuck McMahan all at Smyrna Baptist Church 4047 US 52 West Harrison. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright with military honors provided by the United States Army and Harrison Funeral Detail.
