National Telecommunications Week is an opportunity to recognize 911 dispatchers who serve as a vital link between first responders and the community.
"They feel the stress of every call, whether it is a fire, law enforcement, EMS, they are feeling the stress of the call just like the victim and first responders are," said Franklin County Sheriff Peter Cates. "And they are getting the best service to Brookville and Franklin County by getting the personnel needed to the specific location."
Cates added that the sheriff’s department is seeking qualified dispatchers; you can learn more by calling 765- 647-4138 (option 1) or by visiting franklincounty
