On Saturday, April 23, the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire on Canal Street in Brookville. 

The house was a total loss, with the primary damage to the backside of the home. No one was inside at the time of the fire.

On Monday, April 25, the house caught fire for a second time. Again, the BVFD responded and was able to extinguish the fire. 

The BVFD was assisted by Cedar Grove and Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Departments.

No further information was available at the time of print.
