The Wildcat girls tennis team began its 2022 campaign with a 5-0 conference win over South Dearborn April 8. It was pretty much a walkover as the Knights only garnered one game on the night. Grace Roth won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. All others hung a 6-0, 6-0 mark. Kacie Williams at No. 1 singles and Chloe Cowen at No. 3, as well as Nicole Mears and Kaylin Knapp at No. 1 doubles and Lola Mann and Regan Barker at No. 2 doubles. Katherine Apsley and Halee Barker were junior varsity winners.

In another Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference matchup, FC defeated Rushville 4-1. Williams won 6-2, 6-2 and Roth by a 7-5, 6-3 count. Mears/Knapp triumphed 6-1, 6-0 and R. Barker/Mann took a 6-2, 6-0 match. Cowen fell 6-3, 6-4. Apsley/H. Barker and Vivian Silas/Maria Arechinolaza won in JV action.

FC fell 4-1 to Lawrenceburg and East Central. Mears and Knapp won 6-3, 6-2 against EC. Williams lost 6-0, 6-0, Roth fell 6-1, 6-0, Cowen lost 6-2, 6-0 and R. Barker/Mann lost 6-0, 6-2. Apsley lost JV singles; Silas/H. Barker won, Lillian Ralph/Elene Tkshelahvili lost and Lola Dominguez/Arechinolaza won doubles. Roth was the lone point against LHS, winning 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Williams fell 6-2, 6-0. Cowen fell 6-4, 6-2. Mears/Knapp fell 6-4, 4-6, 1-6. R. Barker/Mann lost 4-6, 6-2, 0-6. Apsley, Silas/H. Barker and Dominguez/Arechinolaza all lost in JV action.
