Geneva was born on November 9, 1933 and is the daughter of the late Eugene Howard and Verna (Glaub) Howard. In February of 1952, she married Glenn Carson. They were blessed with more than 55 years of marriage before he passed away in 2007.
Geneva graduated from Short High School in Union County with the class of 1951. Geneva was a woman of many talents and always kept busy. She could sew or crochet, anything she set her mind to. She also helped out on the family farm and would drive the combine from sun up to sun down. In her earlier years, she also helped cater weddings and made cakes. She had worked at West End Bank for many years and later went on to work at Union County Co-op in Liberty after retirement.
Geneva took great pride in her family. She cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren cooking for them and playing “go fish.”
She will be greatly missed by her son, Randy Carson; grandchildren, Karen (John) Wemple and John (Jenny) Carson; great-grandchildren - Jaya, Jetta, Kase, Kiana, Kyra, Kale, Kambry, Kenna, Kimber, and one more on the way.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Carson; a brother, Floyd Howard; and two grandchildren, Jared Carson and Elizabeth Carson.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County 4H.
