Judy was born January 15, 1948, in Batesville, IN to the late Norman and Mary (Stegner) Senefeld. She graduated from Brookville High School in Indiana. Judy was a caring wife, mother grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and would spend hours in the kitchen preparing feasts for them to enjoy. Judy was a beautiful artist and enjoyed teaching and sharing her gift with many children’s classes. She spent countless hours volunteering in the community including a Child Assault and Prevention Program that she was particularly passionate about. Judy completed her EMT certification and spent many years sharing her skills with Fayette County EMS, Greenfield Area Life Squad, and the Leesburg Life Squad. She was a member of Leesburg Brush and Pallet, Leesburg Town and Country, The Highland County Republican Women, and The Highland County Christian Women’s Group.
Survivors include her husband, David M. Mason, whom she married March 23, 1968; children, Tony (Krista) Mason of Leesburg, Beth Daugherty of Chillicothe, Jennifer (Greg) Cox of Leesburg; grandchildren, Monica (Cory) Phillips, Rodney Daugherty, Morgan Mason, Wyatt (Alessia) Crothers, Michael (Jordan) Mason, Spencer Crothers; sisters, Mable (Dale) Abbott, Mary Ellen (Bill) Pierce; Step grandchildren, Gavin and Gwen Cox; great grandchildren, Ziana, Bailey, Jaxon, and Owen; as well as, several nieces, nephews, and her many friends, including her canine companion Abby.
A funeral is planned for 7 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House, Ohio with Pastor Mike Hodge officiating. In keeping with Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4pm until the start of the service. In lieu of flower, the family requests a donation to a charity of your choice in Judy’s Memory.
