She was a graduate of Hampton High School, class of 1958.
Judy was a fun-loving person, and appreciated the silly side of life. She loved animals, especially cats, was an avid gardener and painter, loved all manner of crafts and artsy stuff, and enjoyed fishing and nature.
She is survived by her husband, William L. Kurtz Jr. and daughter Catherine M. Fouche, both of Liberty; stepson David Kurtz, of Kansas; one sister, Jean (William) Nichols, of Goochland, Virginia, and their children, Ginny and Mark, special cousin Harriet H. Slear; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many cousins and friends; and her three beloved cats, Milo, Lily, and Inky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Capt. William. T. Fouche, son SSgt William T. Fouche II, stepsons Bill and Steve Kurtz, and stepdaughter Shellie Meador, other family and friends.
At Judy's request, there will be no public services. She has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Best Friends Animal Society at Bestfriends.org, or the animal shelter of your choice.
She will be greatly missed.
